Getting Started with Generative AI

Curious about generative AI, but not sure where to start? Join us for a 60-minute hands-on workshop covering the essentials of generative AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot, including how to effectively and responsibly use them, and identify and discuss the best applications for your academic and administrative needs. 

Through the use of slides, demonstration, and hands-on practice, participants will:

  • Gain a basic understanding of GenAI Chatbots and foundations for writing prompts
  • Learn about considerations for using GenAI tools, such as biases, misinformation, and privacy.
  • Know how to access and submit prompts into the Copilot GenAI.
  • Leave with hands-on experience, AT resources, and enough knowledge to begin using Copilot on their own.
