Zoom requires all users to be on an up-to-date version of the Zoom software. As such, all users of the Zoom web and video conferencing application should update their version of Zoom on their devices to the respective minimum version.

Zoom is requiring an update to the minimum software version for all users; anyone who has not updated to the minimum software version will be unable to connect to Zoom meetings will be logged out of their Zoom Client or will not be able to join meetings via the Zoom Client until they update.

You can update your Zoom software by going to https://sfsu.zoom.us/download and selecting to download the Zoom client for meetings at the top of the page.
For more detailed instructions on updating your Zoom client, review the instructional guide via ATHelp.
What about mobile? Zoom clients on mobile will update automatically from your mobile device’s app store and will continue to work as normal.

Additionally, on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, the Zoom website (https://sfsu.zoom.us) will update with a new look and feel to better match the look and feel of the Zoom mobile application. This new update streamlines and simplifies access to common Zoom features like joining and scheduling new meetings to unify the experience across all platforms.
