Our goal at Academic Technology is not only to provide technological tools that will help improve the teaching and learning
of the SF State community.
However, all the technology in the world isn't much good if people don't know how to use it.
Because of that, AT prides itself on offering a wide variety
of workshops every semester to help faculty gain a better understanding not only of what tools are available to them, but also to gain
some training on effective and correct methods for using those tools and technologies.
For a listing of upcoming Academic Technology, please visit our workshops calendar on the POWER website
Due to recent budget constraints, many of the workshops on our expansive workshop listing have been taken off of our standard workshop calendar. However, Academic Technology continues to offer custom workshops or what we refer to as "Lucky 8" workshops. Any of our workshops can be scheduled for colleges, departments, or groups of faculty as long as a minimum audience of 8 participants can be guaranteed. In other words, if you can get 8 people together for the workshop, we'll teach it. Best of all, as with all AT workshops, our Lucky 8 workshops are free of charge. If you would like more information or would like to schedule a Lucky 8 workshop, please email us at workshop [at] sfsu [dot] edu or call us at (415) 405-3536 and select 5 from the list of options. For more information on the available workshops, please peruse our workshop list.
