As an instructor, the last thing you want to have to spend precious class time on is trying to make sure your equipment is working properly. Avoid the problem altogether by contacting our trainers beforehand and going through an orientation on the equipment you're planning on using in your class. Equipment orientation is available in the following areas:
Individualized training is available for all electronic classrooms based on the faculty's requirements. If all you want to use is the VCR, that's all we train you for. We arrange our trainings around your schedule, based on room availability. Please contact Laurie Sosna at 338-1492 or by email at emet [at] sfsu [dot] edu.
We have trained hundreds of faculty members on basic videotaping techniques, from camcorder setup to how to make the most of your video recordings. Please contact Val Sakovich at 338-2634 or by email at sakovich [at] sfsu [dot] edu.
Our staff at the main service desk will go over basic controls of all of our equipment from CD players to overhead projectors. Trainings can be scheduled for more complicated equipment or situations by calling David La Costa at 338-7252 or by email at dlacosta [at] sfsu [dot] edu.
