Room Tutorial: First-generation Pixie panel

TURNING ON THE SYSTEM


STEP 1: Press the ON button at the top left corner of the Pixie panel

STEP 2: Pixie panel will light up; ceiling projector will be on after 30-seconds. 


CONNECTING A LAPTOP: VGA OR HDMI


STEP 1: At the top-middle of the Pixie panel, press the appropriate source button when using: 

VGA cable: LAPTOP or VGA
HDMI cable: HDMI

STEP 2: Connect VGA (15-pin) or HDMI (small trapezoid) cable to laptop (respective laptops may require adapters).
(When using VGA, plug the attached audio-cord into laptop's headphone jack for sound)

STEP 3: For audio volume, use the UP/DOWN volume buttons on the left side of the Pixie panel to toggle. 

EXTRA STEP: If no image shows up, press the following keys on the laptop:

Mac: COMMAND ⌘ + F2
Windows: WINDOWS SYMBOL + P, then select DUPLICATE


RECEIVING CABLECAST


STEP 1: At the top-middle of the Pixie panel, press the source button labeled TUNER or CAMPUS TV.

STEP 2: Select the desired cable channel using the channel UP/DOWN buttons on the bottom left of the Pixie panel.
Verify the channel at the top of the projected image.   

STEP 3: For audio volume, use the up/down volume buttons on the left side of the Pixie panel to toggle. 

STEP 4: Call x15103 to start the cablecast.
