Student Response Systems – commonly referred to as "clickers" – allow you to pose questions to a class of any size, gather results and display them to the class in real time. This process can be done in conjunction with or embedded in a PowerPoint presentation. It's a user-friendly technology designed for easy delivery. Some common uses of clickers are to facilitate class discussions, foster interaction in large classrooms, ask sensitive questions anonymously, and improve overall student participation. If you think that you might like to use Student Response Systems in your class, the first thing that you will need to do is decide which system you would like to use.
As a first step, we recommend that you consult your department first as many departments buy clickers that can be checked out by faculty and students or may have a preference in terms of which
