Academic Technology has designed and maintains multipurpose teleconference facilities in several rooms on the SF State campus. All of our teleconference facilities are equipped with the latest in audio and video technology, enabling faculty to experiment with new teaching strategies and participate with their classes in satelite-delivered conferences and seminars. In addition, any video-equipped classroom on campus can receive satelite-delivered material.
Through the high-speed network operated by the CSU Chancellor's office, we can connect to other CSU, UC and Community College campuses for live, two-way videoconferences. Multipoint control units allow many sites to participate in a conference or class with all sites able to be seen and heard.
Staff is available to help prepare instructors for teaching using video distance learning, to assist writing grant proposals for distance education and to offer guidance in choosing the appropriate technology for your educational objective.
