Teaching

Academic Technology is here to support faculty, students and staff wherever teaching and learning, and increasingly research and community service, touch technology. Give us a call, send us a text, drop us an email, or come by our service points in the Library to discuss your needs and goals. We will support you.

Need help with audiovisual technologies in your classroom? Want to leverage the full functionality of our virtual software lab and suite of iLearn collaboration technologies? If you are a faculty member, are you looking to enhance, or develop, a face-to-face, hybrid, hyflex or fully online course? Maybe you need to borrow some computer or audiovisual hardware or peripherals. Or perhaps you want to produce an instructional video, host a webconference, record a lecture, or integrate content from SF State's streaming media collections. We can support you.

We support the audiovisual technologies in all classrooms across campus, and we have five meeting rooms for your use in the Library. We support the iLearn suite of online learning and collaboration technologies. We support computer hardware and software for academic units. We support video production, recording, digitization and streaming. We support faculty development and the design and development of quality face-to-face, hybrid, hyflex and fully online courses. We support campus-wide learning and teaching initiatives that lead to student success, affordability, and employability.

We also collaborate with our strategic partners across campus to implement campus-wide software projects that improve the student, faculty, and staff experience, such as Curriculum Management, ePortfolios, and web-based Student Evaluations of Teaching Effectiveness. Always ready for a good event, we provide audiovisual and broadcast support for Welcome Days, the Faculty Retreat, Honors Convocation, and the Giant of all productions, which is Commencement at AT&T park!
